BB, my co-host on The Bat Cave, will be opening the show with some tracks from Brian Eno, as I wend my way back to the station after a school re-union (The Pines ROCKS).

I will be presenting a rose coloured glasses view of the ambient music of Pink Floyd (pink - rose... geddit?) So get ready to be trippy.

We will also be hearing a couple of pieces of 'neo classical' by Melbourne musician Jordan Scotney from his new album 'Origin'.

NEW STUFF - ambient artist Robert Carty has just released a new album, and we have it to premiere on radio. We will hear a number of tracks from the album, titled Beautiful Depths.

Lowercase Noises has also just released a new project called 'Blake'. Tune in to hear the wonderful music...

SoundScape has grown in significance that the show is being noticed and utilised by a variety of world ambient artists. I would like to thank ambient artists for supporting my show, as I support their work. I will feature new work by another first rate ambient musician next week as well.

Not ENOugh Eno....

When people talk of ambient music, a few big names are foremost in their minds, and one of them will be Brian Eno. I have avoided playing much Eno so far on SoundScape, mainly to avoid the thought that it would be too 'mainstream'.

Eno, on his own and with other musicians like David Bryne, Harold Budd, Daniel Lanois and Fripp, has been a huge influence on the genre, so featuring his work is well overdue.

For our weekly Goon Show, we will be returning to the very start again, with 'The Ascent of Mount Everest' from April 1953.
