It looks like SoundScape is getting more noticed around the world, as well as locally in the Yarra Valley area. Ambient artists are asking to be played and have their music heard by more people.

New to us this week is Ujjaya, (Randriambololona Hery), living in France and producing a nice range of eastern ambient music.

I will also be playing some tracks by Lydia Kavina, URBS, Snowman, Peter Baumann and Omnimotion.

I will be choosing tracks this week to de-stress you, dear listener, from the pre-Christmas rush and bustle.

Among the music will be a unique piece of percussion played on sheets of ice, with Russian percussion group "Ethnobeat" fooling around on the frozen Baikal lake.

I will also be featuring the efforts of a variety of artists who have taken part in Silber Records '5 Songs in 5 Minutes' series.

This week I will play a section of 'ethereal' female vocalists, featuring some tracks by newcomer Tei Shi, alt/folky Brooke Waggoner and veteran artist Bjork.

I have some Pink Floyd to play as well, and there will be lots of other nice ambient to settle your spirit near the end of this week.

Halloween and all that jazz

This week I will start of lively with artists like Jon Hallur, Danny Elfman, Dennis Russell Davies, Haxan Cloak, KK Null and Fracture.

I have some tracks by 'dor', which is a collaborative effort by John Rutherford and Jacob Worden.

Then tone it down with some dreamSTATE, Howard Shore, Jean Michel Jarre, Detroit Escalator Company and Artificial Intelligence.

Ambient artist Ken Elkinson has composed tracks specifically for Halloween, so I will play a selection of those.

The show will evolve into nice soothing ambient to finish off the day with music by Insout, David Lanz, John Stanford, Jordan Scotney, Karl Verkade and Kirill Platonkin.

Changing of the Seasons
