Welcome to 2014

Tune in to SoundScape from 9pm Thursday Jan 2 for the best of ambient music on YVFM 99.1 or get it streamed live from the website.

Post Christmas chill

Tune in to SoundScape this Thursday (26 Dec 2013) from 9pm on YVFM 99.1 or get it streamed live from the website.

Christmas has come and gone (just) and you will be wanting to put your feet up and not move after the rush and celebrations.

So SoundScape will be coming to your rescue :) with 3 hours of post-Christmas ambient chill to relax with.

I will also premiere a nice piece played by guitarist Evan Hopkins, from Frankston.

Chill out with Ice Beats

For the best of ambient music, tune in each Thursday night from 9pm to SoundScape on YVFM 99.1 or get it streamed live from the website.

I will be choosing tracks this week to de-stress you, dear listener, from the pre-Christmas rush and bustle.

Among the music will be a unique piece of percussion played on sheets of ice, with Russian percussion group "Ethnobeat" fooling around on the frozen Baikal lake.

I will also be featuring the efforts of a variety of artists who have taken part in Silber Records '5 Songs in 5 Minutes' series.

Fripp 'n Eno

Tune in to SoundScape on YVFM 99.1 from 9pm to midnight for the best ambient music, or get it streamed live from the website

This week (Thursday Nov 28) I will be playing tracks by some big names: Fripp & Eno, some Kraftwerk, a bit of Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, as well as music by Ken Elkinson, URBS, Pete Namlook, Ghost Marrow and more.

Voice and Music

Tune in to SoundScape from 9pm Thursdays on YVFM 99.1 or get it streamed live from the website.

This week I will play a section of 'ethereal' female vocalists, featuring some tracks by newcomer Tei Shi, alt/folky Brooke Waggoner and veteran artist Bjork.

I have some Pink Floyd to play as well, and there will be lots of other nice ambient to settle your spirit near the end of this week.

Halloween and all that jazz

Tune in to SoundScape for the best of ambient music on YVFM 99.1 or get it streamed live from the website. Every Thursday night from 9pm.

This week I will start of lively with artists like Jon Hallur, Danny Elfman, Dennis Russell Davies, Haxan Cloak, KK Null and Fracture.

I have some tracks by 'dor', which is a collaborative effort by John Rutherford and Jacob Worden.

Then tone it down with some dreamSTATE, Howard Shore, Jean Michel Jarre, Detroit Escalator Company and Artificial Intelligence.

Ambient artist Ken Elkinson has composed tracks specifically for Halloween, so I will play a selection of those.

The show will evolve into nice soothing ambient to finish off the day with music by Insout, David Lanz, John Stanford, Jordan Scotney, Karl Verkade and Kirill Platonkin.

Changing of the Seasons

Tune in to SoundScape for great ambient music this Thursday (Oct 10) on YVFM 99.1 from 9pm or get it streamed live from the website.

To celebrate the warming of the weather, I will be playing some nice dreamy ambient music. Hear from artists such as Atomic Skunk, Amethyste Spardel, Michael McCann, Catherine Duc, Gemma Turvey, Tigerforest and Lorne David Thomson. So pour a nice glass of white, kick your shoes off and relax :)

The Goon Show this week will be 'The Six Ingots of Leadenhall Street'.
